Hi.

Welcome to my little piece of the world wide web. I'll be documenting my experiences in New York, working, traveling, and endearingly overthinking everything.

Hope you have a good read!

Not having homework is arguably one of the best parts of post-grad life. But that doesn’t mean that you don’t occasionally have to do work at home or that the learning stops. I’ve been trying to use the “extra” time to better myself personally and professionally. People tend to text me about what kinds of things I read while I was interviewing for school and what I do now to get the news, different perspectives, etc., so thought I’d do a little round-up! Most of them are newsletters, because it’s so convenient to have great/recent content curated for me (#efficiency). I’m a firm believer that regardless of what industry you work in, you should have a breadth of knowledge of current news across the board - business, politics (for better or worse), entertainment, etc.

My Everyday Reads:

Typical Subway Skims:

Good Reads When I Have More Time:

  • Lenny Letter
    • Honestly, I am not a Lena Dunham fan. But Lenny shares so much strong, creative, honest content that it’s definitely caught my eye for more long-form, thought-provoking content
  • Vanity Fair: Cocktail Hour
    • (ok, not YoPro-related, but I do also read VF’s Royal Watch, too)
  • Refinery29 - my fave mix of lifestyle, work, trends, etc. - “fun” news
  • Quartz
  • The New Yorker
    • I subscribe to the weekly magazine (they always have great deals!) and try to read their online content during the week... some of the best writing out there, I think

Professional + YoPro Lifestyle Reads:

Also - if I come across an article I want to read or be able to refer back to, I use the Pocket app to download and find on-the-go. You can categorize them and read offline (i.e. when stuck underground on the Q train, on a plane when you have uninterrupted free time, etc.). It’s the best for when I see something on Facebook or Twitter but can read right then.

Am I missing any big ones that you visit regularly?
